RENOVATION PROJECT
House of The Legionaries of Christ Norton Road
DONATE NOW
PHASE 1
Replace the leaking, flat, membrane roof that has been a very costly and difficult maintenance issue over our many years, with a traditional gable roof with architectural asphalt shingles. Raise the very low ceilings in the chapel and dining room, and replace the failing HVAC unit.
PHASE 2
Renovation of the dining room, kitchen, and chapel. Chapel renovation will include expansion of the chapel to include space for 16 people, a new sacristy, stained glass windows, and replacing of old chairs and kneelers.
PHASE 3
Renovating the Brother/Missionary wing that houses 5 members of our community. This space is the home's former two-car garage and was transformed by volunteers into "temporary housing." The goal was to meet our needs for 1-2 years max, but that was 20 years ago! The bathrooms and spaces are in serious need of renovation.
PHASE 4
Renovating the priest's residence wing. Constructed 26 years ago, in 1993. The space and especially the bathrooms, electric, and HVAC, are beginning to fail. This phase also includes landscaping, repaving the driveway, paved parking area, driveway lighting, Marian Garden and hardscape.
ABOUT THE HOUSE
The house was purchased in 1986. In 1993, an addition was constructed to house our Community's 11 priests. Today, 15 community members call this structure "home": 11 Legionaries, 1 Consecrated Man, 2 Brothers, and 3 Regnum Christi Missionaries.
This project will be financed only by donations,
